Walleye fishing season starts this weekend!

That's right. I look forward to this weekend every year. It's the season opener for walleye. (and...it's a long weekend up here) Every year basically since I was born, we've been going up to the same place to camp all weekend and fish. We've got american friends that come up every year. Looking forward to it. New boat, new camper. Fish all day, get back to camp, clean the fish, light a campfire, fry up the fresh fish, open up a few beer:howdry:, then sit around the campfire staring at the stars.

My brother and his family also come as well as my parents and any others from town who want to come out and join us. It's a great time.
 
A few pics from yesterday's fishing trip. This is my favourite spot to go fishing in the springtime. Only saw two other boats all day. Great fishing......had our limit in an hour then fished for fun the rest of the day.

I've never seen that lake that calm. Seems every time I cross it, there's 3-4 ft whitecaps that come from all directions and meet in the middle.
