Times were simpler back then.
Everything on a car was an option, and you paid extra for it, there were no sport options or packages.
Right down to the radio with or with out one, AM one price, AM-FM another price.
My 1st brand new car was a 1968 Plymouth Satellite, paid $2,800for it.
