Injectors not spraying fuel

Hoping someone has knowledge on this issue. I have a 2001 Chaparral 280ssi with twin volvo penta 5.7gsi motors. My port engine decided to stop running and I have noticed there is no fuel spraying from the injectors when I try to turn it over. I am certain it is not the fuel pump, nor the actual injectors themselves. my starboard motor is running fine so I switched both components mentioned and still the same issue on the port side, no spray. Further, I installed the "non running" side components to the starboard side and they work perfectly as well. So, now that I have concluded the parts themselves are not faulty, what am I missing? Also, I checked the fuel lines for kinks or bends and they are good. Is there a sensor(s) that would cause the injectors to not get a signal to spray? I called a mechanic friend and he mentioned checking the oil pressure sensor. To me, that doesn't seem to have anything to do with the fuel getting starved but I'm no mechanic by any means. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If you are sure that the fuel pump is good, it might be electrical - a faulty wire, blown fuse, or the engine control module (ECM). If all the wires and fuses look good I'd get a scanner and check for engine fault codes.

I think that the new technology is great. Except when something stops working, and the average joe doesn't have a clue, because he doesn't have the equipment needed to diagnose the issue, so we go hunting and pecking to see if we can find the problem. Good luck, hope it doesn't end up as a trip to the dealer. Please keep us posted, it may help someone else.

You have not mentioned fuel filters. I don't know if you have primary and secondary filters. But that would be the first place I would look at. Than take off the fuel supply hose of both engines, just to see if fuel is flowing. I would use the starboard fuel line, a base line. In other words, if fuel flows from the starboard fuel line, than it should from the port. Too easy to do, are you getting fuel to the pump itself?

Not knowing your boat, does each engine have its own tank?
