Another season I went with full in-board unit. I hate to say that , but true. You should replace the bellows since the drive is off. Even if it does not need it due to all the work just to get the drive off. Good luck with it!!

New England Boat Show is coming up. It gives us something to do and sometimes you see something new that you could use.

The more I am thinking about it, both meters should have separate naturals. if I am seeing the panel right, one meter is for cord #1 and the other cord #2. Yes? But I don't know how its really wired. My boat, both cords are total separate.

Have you opened it up and checked the wiring? I could be wrong, but I would check the neutral wire to the gauges first. Due to the fact, that both 120V meters are not working. If you want to upgrade, Blue Sea System has some very nice digital gauges.

I has a 2011 Sig 290. On my arch, I turned the lens about 90 deg and it come out. Maybe yours does the same.

What they put in the fiberglass has changed. Its now lighter with the same hard surface. So that same boat is lighter that can take same impact if not more. But fiberglass to date is still the best for boats.

I don't have Flir. The more I think about it, yes a nice tool. I do have to say, radar and AIS are must haves. Flir is a great option, pricy still but prices are coming down.

Having lunch is one thing, but playing the guitar? The A.P. does take some of the strain out of a long trip. Waves, wakes, wind and current don't affect the boat that much when using the A.P. It corrects the course faster than I ever could! A great tool when your in the fog! Keeping you going...

I would go with Simrad, you will not regret it! Most boaters do not use the chart plotter to have the A.P. fellow a route. More so if the boat is as fast as yours. Safety first as they say. In other words, you can mix brands. Even if you go with Raymarine, you want a separate controller for...
