Have a 2013 Chaparral 327 SSX with twin Volvo 320's. I was getting an original error code on the port engine for a steering issue. Original message was "steering failure" with "limited steering - helm lost communication with steering actuator". Could still steer with that engine.
Error message 1: MID 164, PSID 137, FMI 9
Since then, it has progressed to the point that I have lost steering in that engine and the joystick obviously doesn't work either. There have been 2 new error codes pop up.
Error 2: MID 164, PSID 137, FMI 11
Error 3: MID 164, PSID 137, FMI 12
I have done the basics like make sure the batteries are at full charge, checked all connections for tightness, looked for loose connections and damaged wires. Everything seems good from what I can see.
I have searched and found some information on these failure codes (see attached), but it is beyond my understanding. It is also going to be a while before my service guys can get to it. Hoping there might be some expertise out there that might know of a simple fix.
