As we close out another boating season I would hope it was a safe and fun one.Glad everyone survived. Now it`s winterizing time and should you decide to do it yourself, make sure you probe the drain holes to assure it does in fact drain something. Avoid using the bucket method UNLESS YOU DRAIN IT FIRST. Should you desire to fill it, you can always pour it in thru the hoses.
Drive and tranmissions:
remove drives for annual service, check for water, oil contamination, loss of oil, water in the bellows, etc.
inboard ones need the oil level and condition checked, also the trans coolers for clogging. Scheduled replacement of trans coolers is a must unless you want water in your trans and not oil. There a silent killer unless you check the trans oil often. Yes, Velvets drive do work nicely filled with water untill they go KLUNK.
Have a Safe Holiday Season, and looking foward to seeing you all next season.
