Took the houseboat out today

Yep, the season is offically over. Took the houseboat out of the water and winterized her. Glad to have her out and safely in the shed, but sad not so see her at her spot down in the water.
Now the wait begins for May 2009 when we will get er wet again. :D

Which reminds me ,Doc. Maybe I missed it,but what did you come up with for a trailer?

I gave up finding a used one and had one made. A member at the boat club is a welder and paddle wheel captain. He knows boats and trailers very well. He made me one that is ideal for the houseboat. It worked for launching the boat earlier this season, and it worked for taking her out this past weekend. But ... all is not quite right yet. The trailer flexs to much so some more mods will be needed but it is so much better than having ot put the boat on bunks.
I don't even have a pic of the trailer or I'd post it.
