Should you experiance something like this and the fuel filer/sep looks clean (no water), inspect the coil tower closely for cracks using a magnifier glass. You will more than likely find a crack that does not have the tell tale click of arcing.
The second possability is a water leak in the exaust manifold inself fouling a couple of plugs.check by pulling the plugs first,if wet remove the water hose from the manifold ,cap it, dry and reinstall the plugs, and run the motor for a minute or two. Water from the fitting would indicate a block crack, headgasket, or head issue,
no water would indicate a manifold /riser issue. pull the riser and connect a water supply to the manifold ,casefully fill the manifold watching for wetness inside the manifold. The manifold ports should be carbon color not rust color , same for the riser. rust coloring indicates a water issue.

Don`t forget to winterize properly .
