whatever the reasons make sure you also check your shift cable going to
the drive. Most times the way there routed they will melt/fuse from the heat of the Y pipe that there laying against.

Good tip.
One of the motors on our houseboat got a little warm last Saturday. We had lots of debree in the river so I think it was due to the trash. It only went up to 180 then I shut it down for awhile. Fired it back up and left it at idle and the temp stayed down. If I reved it to 1800 to 2k the temp gauge would start climbing.

hey doc, it kind of sounds like a impeller problem to me. not getting enough flow to keep cool at higher rpm's. Something to think or ask about anyhow.

Good thought. Wifey thought of that also, she asked if I was sure the impellers were good. :hide: I have no idea how hard they are to change on these 'crusader' 454's.
It's hot here letely so Baja time for us. We be Baja'ing.
