No cranking, no power, slow cranking

Here`s a tip if you have these types of problems.
Assuming the starter itself if functional

no crank,no power:
jump out the starter solenoid,if it cranks you have a good battery connection.if it dosent crank check ALL the battery connection points INCLUDING the negative cable at the block.

Locate the slave solenoid, jump it out.if the starter operates you have power thru the main breaker. Further tracing is necessary.Main harness connectors, ign. fuse, ign. switch,main neg. return wire.
REMEMBER ,you need 2 wires/feeds to make something work, A Positive and a Negative connection.

Another good tip!!! :thumb: Interesting. I never knew I had a slave solenoid. Where bouts would I find it.

What kind of motor, V6,V8`s are usually mounted left front on near the manifold, late model are sometimes just behind the carb.
4`s and 6`s ,near the rear of the motor or attached to the underside of the intake manifold.
