Okay, I need help. Husband wants a new fishfinder that he can mark where the fish are and find it again. I don't have a lot of money, but want one that is good. Anyone have some advise? I was looking at these, but, doesn't give a lot of information on whether or not they do what I'm looking for.

I'm not the best reference to really help steer you on what the best value in the fish finder you're looking to purchase for your husband. If you're seeking a unit that will mark way-points, or fishing holes, what you're actually looking for is a fish finder, GPS combination unit which neither of the units on your links are. Most units with this capability tend to be a bit expensive to very pricey though Amazon does have this unit (http://www.amazon.com/Humminbird-4-Inch-Waterproof-Marine-Chartplotter/dp/B000KUMOQ8/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1291520455&sr=1-1) that may be within your budget, but I can't really say how good or bad it actually is, though the screen seems small it still may be satisfactory for his needs. Just keep the GPS/fish finder combination in mind when searching for your unit.

I think would prefer a larger screen. But then you get into more cost too.

Hi TG. Good to see you here. I like that unit that Bamby pointed you do. That is one of the best prices I've seen on a marine GPS w/ fishfinder, and the reviews on it are all good. If you can swing it that would be a good one to get.

Can't go wrong with a Lowrance.
